A simple, yet complex statement. How can everyone be a part of something
great? Through the one thing that people do on a daily basis....MOVEMENT!
Some may do it slowly while others do it quickly, but the message is the
same.
United We Dance is comprised of 25 groups from Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan
and Ohio. On the first weekend in June since 2002, we have gathered together
to unite as a family by sharing, learning and having fun through the art of dance.
Although there are many different styles of dance, they all share on thing in
common: The Language of Movement. When you get a group of people moving
in the same direction and sharing something in common, they are a force to be
reckoned with! They are strong! They are proud and most importantly, they are
part of something great!
With each passing year, our circle of friends and family continues to grow as
the message spreads and others want to join in the fun! We now have
individuals and groups from the states of California, Delaware, Florida,
Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Illinois, Maryland, Alabama, Georgia, New York,
Washington, Missouri, Arizona, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Mississippi,
Kansas, Virginia and Tennessee.
In 2009, we had a total of 1000 participants at our 8th Annual Reunion in
Cleveland, OH. We expect to surpass that amount in 2010 at our 9th Annual
United We Dance Reunion.
